As T'Laina's future husband, and also a member of the Starfleet, I feel it important that someone take him up. I'd expect him to be more focused in a scientific field, specifically advanced plant biology, but to be much more laid back than T'Laina herself. Where she is strict and competitive, he is more relaxed and less worried about being the all around best, even if he does desire to do very well at his job. He taught her to play the Vulcan harp, so having a musical background is a must, and I see him as being slightly jealous and protective of her at times, as she is of him.
