PERSONALITY -- PERSONALITY -- PERSONALITY
LIKES: astronomy, food, music, the medical field, learning, adventure, photography
DISLIKES: exersize, diets, being stuck somewhere, being ignored, controlling her emotions
STRENGTHS:
--Naturally Intelligent - School was fairly easy for Renna. She is a naturally intelligent woman. That isn't to say that she doesn't have anything to learn, just that he catches on quickly and it comes easy for her.
--Eidetic Memory - Renna is able to recall things in great detail, even after a long period of time.
--Medicine - Though she is good at other things and has other fields of interest, medicine is definitely her strongest subject and the one she loves most.
WEAKNESSES:
-- Emotions - Though Renna is 1/8 Vulcan, she does not agree with the necessity to control her emotions. As part Vulcan, even at the diluted bloodline, she has stronger emotions than a human and they can get out of control. It is believed by her parents and a good majority of other people that she is incapable to control her emotions despite her intelligence. The truth is that Ren does not believe she should have to, so she usually doesn't even try.
--Alcohol - It doesn't take much to affect her, so she prefers synthehol. Despite the fact that it is different than alcohol, synthehol also affects her after a while of drinking it. She would swear to anyone that they are the same thing, only different strengths, even though she knows it isn't entirely true.
--Anxiety Disorder -- Though it is fairly controlled, Ren still has anxiety attacks. It isn't something that a lot of people know, but she knows she can't keep it a secret for very long on the starship. The fact that she has an anxiety disorder is one of the reasons that she got into medicine.
GOALS:
-Become Chief Medical Officer on a starship
-Find a cure for any existing disease
OVERALL:
Ren can be a little difficult to deal with. Even as a one-eighth Vulcan, her emotions are much stronger than a normal human's, but she refuses to believe that she needs to control them. This makes for a pretty moody young woman. But she is also very intelligent and a natural healer. Her entire thinking on the subject of controlling her emotions is that she doesn't think she should be without happiness only to prevent rage. Though she can be emotional, she is also very good at her job and is generally pretty realistic about her own limitations and possible achievements. Though her goals are something she considers to be a challenge, she does not see them as out of her reach. Renna has no desire to be captain or any rank higher.

OVERALL HISTORY:
On February 4, 2237, Renna Evangeline Morgan was born on the USS Perseverance. Her parents were Jonathan and Mira Morgan, a Lieutenant Commander and Lieutenant (respectively) serving aboard the vessel. Their mission was one of basic information gathering, and they had been en-rout back to Earth, her mother's homeworld. Once they were back, both Jonathan and Mira took some time on Earth, and four years later they had another baby girl, Kiera. It was only a short time later that Mira began to lose some of her sanity. A distinguished engineer, Mira began to believe in conspiracy theories and even began generating some of her own, spreading them around to anyone who would listen. When Renna was ten her mother went as far as to attempt to jeopardize one of Starfleet's ships. She was grounded and detained in one of Earth's penal colonies, where she is still serving her sentence and getting medical treatment for her continually deteriorating metal state.
After Mira's trial, Jonathan decided to move his daughters to Vulcan, his homeworld. Though their names had stood out as human, he felt that the only logical course of action was to have his daughters in a more Vulcan environment. They lived there for a year, but when Ren was twelve Jonathan took an assignment back on the USS Perseverance, and brought his children with him.
Renna and Kiera spent most of their childhood and teenage years aboard the ship. It was clear that Renna had a knack for space life. She was eager to learn anything she could and caught on very quickly. Her father might have been proud of her, if he let himself feel emotion long enough to be proud. At least, academically he would have been. But Renna, unlike her sister, seemed to have trouble keeping her emotions in check. As she grew up, she question the Vulcan beliefs on emotions and came to the decision that she didn't wan to deprive herself of them. Her father, and most of the Vulcans that they encountered, thought that she simply couldn't control her feelings. Perhaps her mind was too busy with science to do anything else, when in reality she just didn't want to control them. It made for some dramatic teenage years, but she eventually got through it.
Her eidetic memory made learning even easier and she zipped through her studies on the ship faster than expected. She went to college aboard a space station, leaving the Perseverance behind along with her father and sister, and got the basic medical degree. Afterward she was accepted into Starfleet and began studying medicine there as well. After her first year, her father and sister moved back to Earth. Her father began teaching at Starfleet and her sister continued her education.
Promoted from Cadet to Ensign, Renna was assigned to the USS Enterprise for its five year exploration mission. The ship already had a reputation and she knew it well, though she had not been a crewman on it for its previous missions. She has become a Medical Officer on the starship and hopes to learn what she can from the experience.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Their five year mission had only just begun. Lieutenant Uhura had been keeping close tabs on their communications, but so far they hadn't encountered anything out of the ordinary. That wasn't really surprising though, seeing as they hadn't been gone very long. Just over a day. Quite literally. It was the morning, 0500, and Nyota was lying in bed trying to remember what she needed to do today. She had already checked off getting the initial exam in the Medical Bay yesterday. Crew members were supposed to report for the physical before any mission, especially one that would last this long. Nyota had decided to get it done and over with right away, so she didn't have that to worry about anymore. She was due on the Bridge today at 0900, so she had a few hours before her shift started.
Uhura calculate the time that she had before she needed to be on the Bridge and started to plan out her day. First thing was first. She got out of bed and brushed her teeth, then pulled on a pair of sweatpants and a tank top and began a run around the halls. She had played sports when she was in school and she wanted to keep in shape in case she had to go on an away mission. Besides, it was just a good idea to stay healthy in space. She got a few looks but no one seemed to mind too much that she was running around. She wondered if she would be able to keep this sort of activity up on their mission. She was sure that since the ship had been given a mission that it had been fitted with a weight room, but there was nothing like a good run.
About an hour later, at 0600 Nyota got showered and dressed in her uniform. She put her hair in a high ponytail and began walking to Ten Forward for something to eat. She still had a few hours to kill before her shift, and despite the early hour, she was sure that there would be a few crew members at the very least there to talk to. The ship didn't just run itself. As she expected, when she walked in there were a few people there. She got some cereal and took a seat.
