pavel chekov ! 19 years old and brilliant. Pavel is quick to learn and slow to forget. He is a happy, bubbly person on the outside. Always happy to help and even a bit of a show off (though he doesn't actually realize it). He is all the same on the inside as well, but there's a bit more to it. He suffers from depression caused by a life time of bullying. He's always unsure about himself even though deep down he knows the truth. He shows off because he just wants the attention and acceptance he never had growing up. Read each category for more information. Just a fun fact; he loves vodka and running. friendships Chekov is rather good at making friends due to his light, young personality. It's almost as if he's instantly likable with his puppy dog face and Russian accent. Or more it's easy for people to become friends with him. He's always wondering if people are really his friend or if they are just acting. This is mainly due to a life time of being bullied for being a genius. Even so, those he does consider himself friends with he allows to call him by his nickname, Pasha.

@username hateships Pavel is always being bullied no matter where he goes. He was bullied in Russia, the Academy, and even on the ship itself. The bullying on the ship isn't as bad as it was in the previous two locations, but it will happens. He gets bullied mostly because of how young he is for being so snark, others get jealous or something. He also gets bullied for his accent, but it's more about his age, really. Some other chances for enemies would be those who hurt his friends or attack the crew in general.

@username relationships Pavel is a bisexual so his love life is open to both males and females. That is, if he wants a love life. He is as unsure about relationships as he is with friendships. He is constantly worried that if he falls in love the other person will not love him back or stop loving him like his father did. That being said, Pavel may be open to a fling or two. This is a big maybe seeing how obsessed he is with work, running, studies, and various other things. Still, a certain someone might turn his eye- if they weren't too old. (18-24ish range, I guess)

Pavel & Nyota:These two work on the Bridge together, so I think they'd be friends, at least to some extent. Though Nyota can tend to hold a grudge, so it might be interesting to play out something where he ticks her off for some reason. Even when she's mad at someone, she's pretty civil in work settings. I do see her being closer to Spock (well, yeah, 'cause ya know, they're together) and Kirk and Bones, just because I've already set it in her mind that she divides the crew into two sets of people - people who actively brought Jim back to life and people who either didn't help or helped slightly. I think Nyota would tease Pavel a lot, but mostly only jokingly. She tends to show off in the language department - mostly because Spock kind of gave her an ego boost there with her being "unmatched" in the area. So i think maybe decent friends/good co-workers. Thoughts?

Pavel & Renna:So these two have a lot in common. They are both naturally smart and Pavel suffers from depression while Ren suffers from anxiety disorder. Renna works in the Medical Bay. She is 1/8th Vulcan, 7/8 human. Though Vulcan traits tend to be dominant ones, Renna has decided that she identifies more with the V'tosh ka'tur - that vulcans do not need to suppress emotion to function. Since emotions run stronger in the vulcan race, Ren tends to get a bit emotional and is often experiencing one extreme or the other. Ren has an eidetic memory, which largely contributes to her desire to learn because if she can recall events easily learning is also easy. I'd say these two could be friends. Renna wouldn't have had a reason to bully him since she's also pretty smart, but she didn't skip several years.

Pavel & Jaylon:These two are in the same field, though Jay is not a regular Bridge officer and works mostly in the Navigation control room. He's got a daughter who is three years younger than Pavel, so I think Jay might have picked up where Pavel's mentor took off and sort of become a father figure maybe (if you think that's good anyway). Jay is half Betazoid, and because of this is usually very honest because of the Betazoid trait to be telepathic. This might be a good thing when Pavel is feeling down, because Jay would be able to know. Whether he'd be able to help or not is a different story. Jay wouldn't sugar coat things. He's all about tell someone how it is - mostly because of his inability to lie as a child. Jay may have even taught Pavel in a class at the Academy (he taught from 2256-2259 and taught Navigation). Though he is knowledgeable in his field, he is still a Ensign, and he thinks it has a lot to do with the fact that he talks back to people (again, because he has a difficult time lying).

Nyota Uhura && @woof That sounds perfect! As for the showing off I think it would be funny if they got into a competition of sorts that included them showing off their skills. As for the ticking her off-- If he were to do that he would feel immensely guilty about it. He would try to apologize non stop and probably give her gifts. Unless they both ticked each other off then he would stubbornly ignore her like a child both on and off duty. As for the teasing Pavel would probably call her silly names in Russian just to tease her back. Renna Morgan && @woof Pavel would fine Renna to be very interesting because of her nature and conflicting ideals. I can see them being pretty good friends. Maybe bonding over their shared emotional problems? Well, not shared, but y'know? I can see them sitting down and chatting about their shared academic interests. Jaylon L. Wilde && @woof That would be absolutely perfect <3. If Pavel needs anything it's a father and therapy. He wouldn't care if Jay tried to soften the truth or not, he's very aware with what's wrong with him and how it was caused. He just has trouble dealing with it every once and a while. Jay probably would have taught him for two years (2256-2257). I can just see these two being close in a parental/child kind of way. Close enough for Pavel to allow Jay to call him Pasha probably.

pavel and kirk (sorry, not making this as pretty as ambers xD) - i think these two could really go either way. kirk's pretty obnoxious and insensitive, so i wouldn't be surprised if something he said rubbed pavel the wrong way. he'd probably tease him about as much as he does spock and bones, not for malicious reasons, but again it would depend how the guy took it. on the other hand, i can see them getting along because even though kirk has a few years on the kid they're both pretty young and a lot more fun loving and less seirous than a lot of people on the ship xD

James T. Kirk && @woof Pavel would have a deep respect for Kirk. If he did say something that could be taken badly he would be a bit hurt by it, but try not to let it show. As for the teasing he would realize that it was all in good humor and just the way the Captain was. He would probably tease Kirk back every so often, but only on off-duty hours.
