Adella is Jay's ex-girlfriend. She's practical, but not to the point where she can't have some fun. They met while they were at Oxford, and both later joined Starfleet. She's fairly ambitious, which is part of the reason these two are no longer together. When they broke up Jay got primary custody of Diedre, but since he has been added to the Enterprise crew (and they both believe Diedre is old enough to stay home alone), their daughter lives with Adella. She was pregnant with Diedre at age 18. She and Jay broke up sometime during their education at Starfleet. Adella is not a bad mother, but she does look at her work as a high priority and is not opposed to coming into work early and working late. We can talk more about their past relationship and whether or not they want to be involved again down the road when she's picked up. Her history and just about everything else, what her focus was and whether she will be assigned to the Enterprise or stay grounded is entirely up to the player.

Born in the UK, Diedre now lives and goes to school in San Francisco near Starfleet headquarters. For most of her life she lived with her father, but she has spent about the last two years with her mother due to her father's Starfleet assignment. Jay hopes that she skips the college route and goes directly to Starfleet Academy, but it is completely up to the player if she does that, or if she even wants to be part of Starfleet. He'd love to have her on the Enterprise, but would rather she continued her education for now. Just about everything personality wise is up to whoever picks her up. And if she has breaks and wants to visit her father on the starship, that's fine too. History wise - she's a daddy's girl, her parents are split (they were never married), and her father has primary custody of her, but she is currently living with her mother. Everything else is up to you.
